5:25 a.m.

Exactly the time we were awakened this morning by Evan telling us he "frew up in bed."

The things we can be MOST thankful about is: (1) it was 5:25 and not 1:25; (2) while sleeping on the top bunk, he was able to contain it all to one blanket and himself; (3) it is Sunday, and I have Patrick here to helpe me; (4) he didn't get sick at Great Wolf Lodge.

Talk to me tomorrow, and it might be a whole different outlook on things.

To my friend, Christie

I am SO sorry that I have not been paying attention to the drop-off at the school! I need to pay more attention! I normally get M dropped off between 9:05 and 9:15, depending on the day.

I would LOVE to see you again! I am also going through the same withdrawal... we NEED to get together.

And thanks for the heads up on the food. We stayed there in November, so we have tasted the food (and I am in total agreement). We shall see what we end up doing.

Well, I need to get back at it, girl. I will certainly be keeping my eye open more now.... nothing like totally forgetting about the fact that you drop off, too.

The past few days

Soccer games, Sunday services with the kids' choirs, putting up with small children during those Sunday services, the return to school for another week, a MOPS steering committee meeting, a reservation for Great Wolf Lodge for this Friday, and three shots for Evan. What a whirlwind of a past few days.

McCayla scored the very first goal at Sunday's game, or so I'm told. I wasn't there. I decided that the weather was too nasty for the Eman and Jenna to go the game, and I was glad I made that decision. Instead of calling a game when it rains, they *toughen* the girls up and make them play. So I will send any co-pay bills to the Hancock County Soccer Association should McCayla ever fall ill because of those decisions.

But M did really well. I wish I could have seen it. Nana and PawPaw were able to watch her, and they came over, looking a little rain-drenched.

The kids did a wonderful job in their little programs on Sunday. M's was longer, and it was really cute. Evan had his little speaking part ... But what about the things that don't breathe ... or in Evan speak ... butwhataboutthethingsthatdontbreve. He is such a joy to watch. So totally different from his sister.

SO totally different from his sister. His sister took her Kindergarten shots with grace and style. She didn't freak out beforehand. She didn't scream. She didn't cry. She didn't try to run out of the room. She calmly pulled her pants down, and took the three shots like a champ. She didn't make one noise, and said afterwards that it wasn't bad at all. Of course, this is the child who had numerous blood draws, an IV, and a shot of insulin a few short months ago and never ONCE cried. Never ONCE did a tear roll from her eyes.

Evan, on the other hand ... oh Evan. Let's just say this:

  • the whole office knew he wanted to go home
  • he didn't think he needed the shots
  • he didn't want his pants pulled down
  • shots scared him
  • he decided that he didn't want to go to Kindergarten after all
  • why did he HAVE to have shots
  • have I had shots before
  • is he getting the shots in his butt

It was not a pretty sight. I had to force his head over to look at me. I had to physically hold his hands down with my other hand, and with my elbow I had to immobilize his leg.

I have decided that Jenna will be taken by her father to get her K shots because I am done with forcing my children to have them. I have taken all of these kids to every single immunization. I think it is time for Dad to feel the love.

Last week of classes for me for this month

and then I start all over again next month with Criminal Procedure this time. While I enjoyed the flexibility of having independent studies, it will be nice to have the classroom environment back next month. I felt a little out of control (me ... the control freak... go fig) not being in there teaching them.

McCayla's soccer game was rained ON last night, not rained OUT. I can't believe that they didn't call it. It was raining on and off for a majority of the game, Patrick said. So Robin ... I got my wish for rain, but it didn't make a deal of a difference. You, on the other hand, still had the sun. Luckily the younger two didn't go. They stayed home with me last night while Daddy took M. Nana and PawPaw came in looking a little wet and disheviled. AND McCayla scored the first goal AND did a really good job at goalie. See what happenes when I'm not there? Might be a message ... the good luck charm is me staying at home.

So another week, another bunch of schedules. McCayla has two games again this weekend, AND Evan has his S-H-O-T-S tomorrow morning.

Robin watched Jenna for me on Saturday morning, which was a total and complete God-send. I think. Between her daughter and mine, they cracked, shelled, and ATE eight hard boiled eggs. I knew Jenna loved them, but didn't think it was humanly possible that she could consume that many in one sitting. But there were no repercussions from it, and when I picked her up on Saturday, she smelled exactly like Doritos. They were the last of Evan's soccer snack ... Doritoes and Moon Pie. Ummmmm... yeah. Daddy and Jenna ate the Moon Pie, Evan had some of his Doritos, and then made the mistake of letting them get in the grasp of Jenna, who finished them off.

DUDE! Susie Sunshine was on my blog!!!!!!!!

Ok... I feel totally honored here. Susie Sunshine visited MY blog. MY BLOG! And I didn't have a witty thing to say. How sad is that?

Susie... if you come back, you are quite welcome. Your post reminded me of our next door neighbor, Diane, who was also suffering from MS. She was a very special person, and it tore at my heart reading your post. It was the least I could do.

I am not going to say anymore ... for now. I'm going to bed. But I just had to scream out the fact that I had a blog celeb here.

Good night to everyone. Sweet dreams.

A gratuitous kid shot

I just LOVE this outfit.... very Punky Brewster-ish. I enjoy the fact that I have a great online community of work at home moms who are also excellent craftswomen. This is from Teri from The Enchanted Nursery, purchased last week from Necessitae. The leggings are called Baby Legs, and they are just thigh high leg warmers.

Friday Friday Friday

Today will be a busy morning. I have a case I need to finish up here, and then jump in the shower, grade some papers, get McCayla to school, get the papers to the college, and then get Evan to preschool. He is just going to be late. There's no doubt about that, but I am going into his classroom this morning to read The Giving Tree to his class. That is the one he picked out, and put under his pillow last night. It was promptly removed because he didn't like it under there (who would?).

Then the day from he** is tomorrow ... McCayla to pics at 8:30, Evan to practice at the same time, McCayla's game at 9:30 (the other parent brings Evan over after his practice), McCayla to her assessment at 11:30, Evan to his pictures at the same time, and then McCayla to the rest of her practice after 12:30 and Evan's game at 12:45, I think.

Ask who is the biggest loser in all of this? Poor baby Jenna, who will be carted from one place to the next. We just need to determine which places those will be.

And then, if I pray long and hard enough, the rain will set in at 6 in the morning tomorrow, and rain ALL morning long. THAT would be a total and complete Godsend! As much as I know the kids like soccer, I HATE IT!

Just another Wednesday

Evan has his little preschool Easter party today, so I got him off to school without a hitch! McCayla is harboring a VERY low grade fever ... she was 99.5 in her ears today, so I threw some Tylenol down her throat, and she is fine, hopefully for the whole day. She kept telling me she was fine, and I could see it in her eyes that she is fine. You know how you can just look at a kid's eyes and know whether they are feeling well or not? M's were bright and shiny this am, so I think she is harboring some sinus something because I could hear it in her nose this morning.

This weekend is the mother of all weekends. On Saturday alone, we have two different soccer games, soccer pics for both of them, dress rehearsals at church for both, and then M's art giftedness assessment. It should be a real fun weekend.

People who lack social graces

Do you have someone who comes to mind who lacks social grace? I mean, REALLY lacks social grace?

There is a lady at our church. I used to think she was a little slow mentally. But having spent some time with her, and watching her actions and listening to her, I don't think that anymore. She just lacks social graces.

For example: yesterday right after the first service ended at church, she came up to our piano player (because I am too lazy to spell accompan.... whatever) and held a CD right in front of her face, blocking her music, asking her where she should put her CD.

She yawns... AUDIBLY ... during prayers. She doesn't know when to be quiet. We will be in our choir room before service or a performance starts, and she will be in there, blaring her loud voice. And people in the choir just don't SAY anything to her. I think they all operate under the same *false* assumption that I did that she might not be playing with a full deck of cards.

And man ... some of the things she talks about. Totally inappropriate dinner conversation. She had the runs once, so she let me *and everyone within a 20 mile radius of the church* know about it. And her laugh.. oh my.

I feel a twinge of guilt talking about her. I really do. Ok...there it goes.

But seriously, there are just some people who don't really know what to do or how to act in certain situations. And golly knows there are times when I would like to act like some socially un-intergrated individual, blurting out whatever I want to say or do whatever I want to do at that time. But I think that all goes back to that latent Tourettes.

And do you know what? I must be known as the choir spaz (well, we all know I am a spaz, but I don't like to know that OTHERS observe this quality in me, as well) because one of the sopranos leaned down before the second service yesterday and said "Meredith... I just wanted to tell you how proud I was of you last service... you didn't move around at all and you didn't talk!" Well gee... thanks?

So maybe I am one of those who lacks social graces?

The weekend is over...

and a new week will be starting. I am sad that McCayla's Spring Break is over after tomorrow. She has been really fun to have around... I will certainly miss her!

At some point, I will have to find out when I am reading to Evan's class. I hope it isn't Wednesday because I won't be prepared when I take him to school. I am hoping for Friday! Somehow the 21st stands out in my mind.

Can you believe that Friday is the 21st already? Halfway through the month of April already. Time flies.

Well, here's to a weekend gone, and the beginning of a new week tomorrow.

Raining like noone's business

We are getting some rain right now, and are supposed to get it pretty much all day today. But yesterday was absolutely gorgeous, so I can't complain too much.

Jenna started some coughing last night when she went down to bed, so we were in a quandry... treat her with cough medicine or Albuterol. We chose the medicine because we didn't want to string her out on Albuterol. She calmed down, but those are the times when I'm like ... hmmm... Albuterol is a rescue medicine. Exactly WHEN do I need to rescue her?

McCayla had her first soccer practice last night (she missed last week due to a discipline issue and she almost missed last night due to the same issue ... she wanted to wear her dressy khaki capris to practice... ummmm... yeah). I told her it would be rather embarassing to have to miss a second practice because she *needed* to make a fashion statement at practice. She is pre-pubescent already.....

We just received a letter from Evan's preschool/Jenna's future preschool that they are going to have ANOTHER staff change in a matter of a year. Last year, the teachers who had been there for eight years retired. I was bummed, but Evan got along well with the new teachers, and I was really appreciating the direction they were taking (Bible based as opposed to a typical preschool). Well they said they have reviewed the preschool program, and are going in a different direction (i.e. present parents complained, enrollment is down, and the surveys came back in a very negative manner). So Jenna will not be attending there next year. I am not even sure if Jenna will be attending a preschool at all next year. She will just be three in June, which puts me in a quandry. She is TINY, but is SOOO bright and can hold her own. I am thinking about just keeping her out this next year, and putting her in when she turns four. Just another choice to make.

So why is it that with my Independent Study classes, I feel really guilty that I am not *teaching* them? I feel like I need to lecture when I meet with my two students, but realize that isn't the point of an IS. I just hope that I am leading them correctly. This is one of the student's last classes, and she has already taken this same exact class, so we are pretty much making things up as we go along.

Well, I need to get out there and act like Mom. My Mom will be coming over here this am so I can get a little bit of work done. I am DESPERATELY behind. I should have taken sick days when I was really and truly ill at the beginning of the week, but now it will look suspect.

Maundy Thursday

As I reflect back upon this past week of Holy Week, I think to myself how important church is to our family. Last year, we were unable to attend Maundy Thursday service (our foot washing service) because of Puke Fest 2005. This year, I will be teaching a class, and Patrick will have to cart McCayla to soccer practice, one that we were promised last week by her coach would have been on Tuesday, but couldn't occur because of some time conflict for the coach.

And then talking with Patrick and my Mom about different things that are happening on April 22 ... two soccer games with team and individual pictures, McCayla's gifted assessment in art, and two dress rehearsals for elementary and kinder choirs .... and trying to decide what should take precedence ... reminded me how much we put church on the backburner. We used to NEVER go to church when Patrick and I were newly married. We were young. We were naive. We didn't think we needed to go, and never made an attempt to find a church home in Lexington.

After having McCayla, we still didn't find a church home until we moved back to Findlay, and even then, we didn't actively seek one out until I was about 7 months pregnant with Evan. Then we found StoneBridge and we immediately fell in love. We tried to go back to the church in which we were married, but that was too stoic, too doctrinated for us.

So we have made SB our church home. We are extremely active in the church and there are times when we miss and I feel as if a part of me is missing.

So tonight, instead of going to Maundy Thursday service with my family and participating in the foot washing, we will be going in opposite directions. It is sad, really. But next Saturday, McCayla will be missing her first soccer game (if it is at the same time as the others), and will be attending her assessment and then making the second hour of her dress rehearsal.

Some things just have to be sacrificed. Because there is nothing like driving by our local sand sculpture of Jesus on the cross, having your children singing "glory glory ... hallelujah He Reigns" at the top of their lungs, with their little arms up in the air, moving back and forth with the music.

Hey Jacque.. remember when Jenna was whining

and I got off the phone? Wanna know why she was whining?

Well apparently we cannot get through Holy Week without someone puking.

Yep. Jenna. Right there all over the couch.

And of course, the other two were OH so helpful... oooo... did Jenna just throw up all over the couch? Ooooooo.... that SMELLS! Is this the first time Jenna has ever thrown up? Why do I have to get the wet washcloth... Evan is just standing there in the kitchen. This is all happening while I am catching vomit in a Tupperware that is now going to be thrown away.

PLEASE let this bypass the rest of my family. I was SO hoping that we were going to get through this *season* without anyone else getting sick. Evan was sick to his stomach in December, and McCayla had a bout of it when Jenna had her ear infection. I swear..... it could be ANYthing else but this.

And now... the waiting begins. Peggy.... read with caution. Remember what happened last year....

Back to being a productive member of society today

I am feeling better this morning. I was ok yesterday, but toward the end of the day, I was sweating and wondering why I was going to go teach a class last night. But thankfully, it is independent study, so we were there for 45 minutes total.

So I have actually taken a shower already this morning, which is more than I can say for the last two mornings. Now I just have to get on the work bandwagon and get some cases cranked out.

I am also in a MAJOR knitting mood. This always coincides with me being behind in work. I think I need to have someone take a look at my head.

All right... nothing really major to report today. The kids have been great. Yesterday morning, they entertained themselves ALL morning. ALL morning. McCayla had coloring pages and Evan started off with those but then moved on to playing in Jenna's room. Jenna took some of my attention, but that was ok. Being ill and only having to deal with one child as opposed to three was a blessing.

McCayla is back here asking for more Easter coloring pages so off I go.

And then when I complain about things at my house...

I read her blog. http://www.christithomas.blogspot.com/

Completely and totally amazing young girl. Only one year older than McCayla, actually.

Sinus pressure

Nasty feeling pressure right behind my right eyeball. Pleasant feeling, really. The kids have asked me a number of times if I am *ok*. I keep telling them that if they get along, everything will be fine.

Choir concert: done
Class tonight: not yet
Work today: HA! are you kidding? did you see the title of this entry?

So I will see what I can accomplish today, if anything. I do have to make a run out to get some things... we will see if that actually happens or not.

Oh yeah... and our dryer is dead. Nice.

Trying to keep a positive attitude

Tonight and tomorrow night, I have choir presentations. It is a musical called Believe. I haven't run into a soul in that choir that absolutely LOVES this thing. I mean, there are some songs we just don't like because of one reason or another. I have never seen a whole musical that doesn't have one redeeming quality. Well, let me take that back: there is a redeeming quality in this ... Greg and Brittany Henson's duet. And that pretty much sums up the excitement about this presentation.

BUT ... I need to remember ... I need to remind myself ... that this is not being presented because the choir likes it. It is being presented because we want to impart the message. We want to save people. We want to make sure that people start their walks with God during this Easter season, and not become Easter and Christmas church-goers.

However, it is very difficult to impart a message that you think is presented in a sing-songy, pomp and circumstance style that will be difficult to present at times. Add on top of all this a DVD presentation of actors playing Mary, Thomas, John, and Caiphus, and you have the makings of an over-the-top Easter season presentation.

But at least we don't have someone dressed as Jesus, trying to hoist them into the rafters to represent the ascension. At least I don't think we do.

Which reminds me of a funny home video on that same exact scene. The gentleman who was playing Jesus was on some pulley lift system, and it turned him around, revealing the fact that, under his robe, Jesus was wearing a pair of bermuda shorts, a tshirt that said "Eat at Joe's Crabshack," and, quite appopriately, Jesus sandals.

So I suppose that I should get off this computer, jump in the shower, and prepare myself, mentally and musically, for tonight's presentation. I have a mini solo, and I am most positive that I will psyche myself out, thinking I won't be able to remember the words, going over those words in my mind about one song in front of the one I am singing in, and look like a total idiot when I turn beet red.

Or I could just sing the solo, moved by the Holy Spirit.

Yeah... I'm voting that the former will happen.

SOOOOOOOOOO tired

I think that the stress of being the one who was bringing in all the income is starting to catch up with me. Hearing Patrick say he was going to stop by the Credit Union to deposit his check was SO refreshing to hear this morning.

I have been going full-tilt for quite some time. I have just put myself on manual and just moved throughout life, doing what needed to be done. But now, it is wonderful knowing that my husband is back at work, earning a paycheck, and feeling better about himself. Not only were the financial woes burdensome; so was the emotional for both of us. We got on one another's nerves. There were days we would move through the house, not uttering a word to one another.

Now we are back at the old routine. It has been hard for me to get used to it again. It hasn't helped matters that I am now the bus service for McCayla, but this is my job as a Mom to make sure that my child feels secure in herself. She wasn't having a good experience on the bus, plain and simple. Something had happened on it that she wasn't wanting to tell me. But it has made mornings here SO much less stressful, McCayla attitude-wise. I used to have to fight her EVERY morning to brush her hair, brush her teeth, get dressed, get her backpack on, get her homework in her bag, etc. Now, she does it on her own and I don't have to say a thing to her.

Now if I can just get my youngest child to make it all the way through the night. She was crying last night for a milk baba. I have put the hammer down and there will be no more of those. She isn't on the same page as I am, though. I used to think it was great that I didn't have to break her of a paci. Well, the bottle is her paci and she is being broken of it. They all have their vices. Evan and McCayla had their mimis and mimaws. Jenna has her babas.

And to top today off, it is audit day. Oh joy. I just LOVE this day. Now, do you think it is the epitome of laziness if I move my coffee maker back to my bedroom? I am the only person who drinks it.

Having someone's back

I used to laugh at this statement. I used to think "yeah... I would always set someone straight if they were talking smack about someone" but never really thought about having the person's back. It just seemed like the right thing to do.

And I am glad that I have such a great friend in Robin.

You see, Robin and I have *known* each other for quite some time. Our association began in Lincoln Stitch n' Stir (yeah... dorky name, I know .. I don't know if my Mom came up with that one or it was already there). It was a 4-H group. We didn't hang out or anything... we just knew that they other existed.

Our paths crossed yet again in high school/college when she was dating her now husband, Matt, and I was dating Matt's cousin, Bob. We didn't speak to one another at the Powell Christmas get togethers .. I don't know why. Mostly my fault, I think. I was told that Matt was the "quiet cousin" and I only assumed that his girlfriend was, too.

Years later, we met up again in church, and Robin made all the associations come clear. We were in the same Bible study, but not really too close yet. Now, we are building a friendship and a bond ... we share a lot in common ...

And when Matt's grandmother passed away over the weekend, I knew that she would be coming in contact with Bob, the ex. There was a curiosity that I had ... wondering if the subject that Robin and I are friends would be broached at any moment. And it was.

And Robin, thank you for having my back on that one. Apparently, my ex is under the assumption that I don't do anything but stay at home with my children, all TWO of them, and that I never did a thing with my law degree.

WHERE does he obtain his information? Probably from his Aunt Linda, who is still teaching at the same school where I graduated from. I am sure the conversations that they have had about me (which scares me that he knew a little too much more than I really thought he should know about me) were completely kind. I didn't leave the relationship under the best of circumstances, but those things happen.

I mean... the only thing I know about him is he is an architect (well, at least I *think* he is). I didn't know his wife's name, I didn't know how many kids he had (apparently two who don't get to watch tv... poor children will never know who SpongeBob SquarePants is), or where he is living.

Does it make me feel good that he has been trying to keep some kind of tab on me? Well ... I don't know. Because it was erroneous information, it bothers me. But now that he has been set straight by my pal, Robin, who had my back, I am loving every minute of it.

Would you think....

that a pharmacy that you frequently visit that messes up your last child's prescription by handing out a box of expired meds would say something like .... let us refund your co-pay on that box?

HA! Um.... they won't.

Jenna's medication was filled yesterday with 30 vials of Pulmicort that expired in February.

1. It is a good thing I looked.
2. It is a good thing Patrick didn't pick it up because he said he wouldn't have read it and just given it to her.
3. I was expecting something other than the pharmacy saying " well that must have been how they shipped it out of their warehouse because we always pull off all old meds from the shelves." Like...pick up a Hershey's candy bar for your trouble. Or you get free medication for a year. Or here's a coupon for 100 percent off your next order for the next 30 years.

I live in a fantasy world, I guess.

And it only gets better....

FYI

Just wanted to let you all know that XXX XXX has the chicken pox and was in class with your child yesterday. We noticed the spots and called mom who didn’t think it was the pox, because she’d been immunized and didn’t show any other symptoms, but we kept her from close contact with the other kids anyway. They took her to the dr. later who confirmed that it was chicken pox.

Your friendly Sunday School Director

Edited to add: I am not sure which of my children was exposed since the child in question is in the same class as Evan but then would cross over to another class that Jenna would be leaving. So I have no idea who was exposed, if it wasn't both of them.

And then there's this observation: If I was called from church to look at my child, trying to determine if what she or he had was chicken pox or not, and someone said "boy that sure looks like pox to me" I think I would say "let me take her/him. We wouldn't want to expose anyone to this." Wouldn't you?

Another crazy week ahead

I looked at the calendar yesterday and realized that I have a pretty major choir performance (solo included) coming up this weekend. WHEN did that happen? So I have class tonight, Dr. appt. with Jenna tomorrow morning, class tomorrow night, choir Wed. night, two soccer practices Thurs. night (at the same time, but in two different locations ... one at the north end of town, the other in the southend of town), then go to another choir practice Thurs. night, and then two night performances over the weekend, PLUS singing in church on Sunday. I am thankful that I did my time with Worship Team yesterday, or I would be going a LITTLE crazy.

Add on top of all that a child who has FINALLY calmed down from the treatments because Mom has decided that the dr. was crazy for (1) putting her on Albuterol in the first place when it looks like there is a more "kid friendly" version out there and (2) making her have four treatments in a day. I took it down to three yesterday, and we didn't even do a full treatment last night. She just canNOT handle all of that in her little system. If it was M, then I would strap that mask on four times a day and do it all. But with a barely 24 pound toddler, ain't happenin'.

So we will see Dr. Ware tomorrow morning at 9:30 for her follow up and I guess just start watching what the triggers are for her. Hopefully this is something she will outgrow. She is just so small....

I will be teaching two independent study classes this month in Civil Litigation. JUST fine with me. I need a little break from lecturing, I think. And I will only have to meet with them once a week, so I have slated Mon and Tues nights at our class nights.

And speaking of ... I need to go prepare for that class tonight.

Catch y'all on the flip.

Spazzy McSpazoid

Dude. Jenna is OFF the wall spazzy. I stopped in her Sunday school room this morning to see how she was doing before the first service started, and found out that Patrick didn't tell them that she had had a treatment. One of the workers was thinking that she was cold with all the shaking she was doing. Not good.

THEN ... when I checked in after we were finished singing during the first service, she was doing cheers, jumping, and rolling all over the floor.

I think I will check with our doc to see if there is another med that isn't so harsh on a little one's body. She is just so tiny that she can't handle all of that. And I have made the executive decision that she is getting three treatments a day and not four. She just can't handle that, and I can't give it to her right before she goes to bed because she will be bouncing all over the place.

Matt and Robin... sorry I couldnt' talk to you more. I am terribly sorry about the loss of your grandmother, Matt.

And on a funny note .. this is for Robin and Matt, too .... Bob ( you know ...) and John Heder (Napoleon Dynamite) ... separated at birth?

The little trooper

There are tons worse things to have to see your child endure (just look at Christi Thomas's blog), but this just tugged at me... she is a little trooper, though.

Apparently the Dr. in my name should have been for an MD

because I was dead-on about Jenna. I was worried about letting her go the weekend without having a dr. listen to her. Sure enough, the dr. is leaning toward asthma. So now we are the proud owners of a breathing treatment machine and a box full of breathing treatment meds (Albuterol).

She was such a trooper during the treatment. She has a dinosaur mask, and she kept saying "like Dinosaur World" and I said sure is! She got all flushed in the face from the treatment, but nothing too rash-y. Of course, I was all over her ... making sure she was staying still, not breathing too fast, laid still enough afterwards that she didn't get dizzy, etc.

We are taking it all in stride ...

Asthma

I am starting to wonder if Jenna suffers from either allergies or, worse yet, asthma. She coughs more than either McCayla or Evan ever did in their young years. Once we get her through one coughing episode (and when I say episode, I mean over days), she picks up again. We dosed her up with cough medicine with codeine last night so she could sleep (and me, too), and she did make it all the way through the night with no coughing. But man, yesterday ... she was coughing like nobody's business, and now you can hear it in her throat.. wheezing. So I guess that will be something I need to get checked out soon since we are starting in with the spring months. Patrick suffers from spring allergies, so I guess it is totally possible that Jenna does, too. But I do NOT want her to have to go through all those allergy tests. But then again, there are parents who have to put their kids through MUCH worse, so I shouldn't complain at all about this.

I am stuck to the computer today. Patrick has to go in to work this morning for a bit ... end of the month stuff, he said. So I am crunching in some work hours here before he has to leave in an hour, and I know I have to give him his 30 minutes to primp and preen. Seriously, this man takes a longer shower than most women I know.

So I guess on that note, I should go finish up this one case, and get going on my morning.

Later.
