Transformations

Evan is SOOOOO loving school. He is so great to listen to when it comes to school-talk. He gets all excited, wanting it to be the next day so badly. And when he finds out that it is Saturday, he gets all bummed out and wishes the weekend away.

Jenna is growing right up. She is saying more and more every day. She seems to have a listening issue at preschool, prompting her teacher to ask me if she was seeing the dr. anytime soon because I "might need to get her hearing checked." Yeah... I don't think there is a cure for being three years old, unfortunately. But I will certainly mention it to Dr. Ware on Friday when she has her physical.

McCayla has moved from loving all things girly and dresses to wanting to wear jeans. I remember when I would have to fight to get her to wear a pair of pants, let alone a pair of jeans. Now it is the opposite: she and I had a rather lengthy discussion this morning about wearing a skirt and she said she had gym. She then came home and said "oh Mommy... I was all mixed up and we have gym TOMORROW (the day she promised to wear the skirt)."

Yeah, kid. I'm SURE it was a mixup.

Happy Eighth Birthday, Miss M

So hard to believe that eight years ago, on this date, I was anxiously waiting to hear how my new baby was doing in the NICU.

So hard to believe that eight years ago, this little person entered the lives of many and has officially changed titles of many .... parent, grandparent, aunt, and uncle alike.

So hard to believe that eight years ago, a little person with beautiful brown eyes and a beautiful bald head could change the hearts of many.

So hard to believe that eight years ago, a little person named McCayla Olivia Pitt breathed her first breath of life, and has brought joy and happiness to this family.

Happy Eighth Birthday, Miss M!!! Hope it is a wonderful one for you!
