Legos and swimming lessons

The kids are on the floor right now, building all sorts of cool things with Legos. Daddy has quite the collection, and the kids love them! I keep getting little demonstrations of their creations. Evan just built a boat that has wheels, and Jenna just brought me a bridge. McCayla has graced the desk with a little people mover. Quite the creative bunch here.

McCayla starts swimming lessons next week at the public pool. The Red Cross puts it on, and she will go in the morning.

Started teaching classes at night again. I forget how TIRED I get after teaching. And this class... they ask a LOT of questions, which is good for them, but taxing on my brain. It is hard for me, who knows this stuff like the back of my hand, to bring it down to the level of a person who didn't go to law school. And that is hard! Last night was terribly taxing. But I shall prevail. And so shall they. The best thing is that my Mom teaches there, too so that helps out a lot in the support department.

Findlay has a new Wal Mart opening today, and M wants to go so bad she could spit. There is nothing quite as exciting as a new Wal Mart. ;) She is wanting to get her school supplies, and it doesn't help matters that EVERY SINGLE STORE has their school supplies out, and the lists are available. So she keeps asking "can we get them today? how about tomorrow? Well WHEN?" She is a self-proclaimed office/school supply junkie. Just like her Mom.

Jenna is developing into quite the opinionated child. It makes for exciting times around here. And Evan ... things come out of that boy's mouth, and I just scratch my head.

Happy Fourth .. one day late

Everything is in full swing here. Evan is in Safety Town for two more days, and I need to get M signed up for some kind of artsy camp so she can do something with all that pent up creativity. She is really needing something.

We went out to my parents house last night for a little celebration. The kids had a great time ... they played in the dirt, caught fireflies, fed the mosquitos (and now Evan and McCayla have these HUGE welts where they were bitten), and just had an all around good time.

And the hit of the party was the matching tshirts. They did look awesome in them.

So from our house to yours, Happy Fourth ... Late.
