Wow... I really need to update more

I didn't realize it has been so long that I haven't updated this blog... I need to make a more concerted effort.
The goings on here are endless. Upward Basketball ended and soccer picked right up where basketball left off. We have a few weekends free, but then it starts right in. M has dance on Mondays, soccer on Tuesdays, we have church on Wednesdays, and E has soccer on Thursdays. Can you say BUSY?
Jenna is having her Easter egg hunt/party this Thursday because, like it or not, ready or not, the kids are on Spring Break for .... gasp .... NINE days (well, that includes the weekend), starting at the end of THIS week!!!
I am going to take them to the Mazza Museum at the University of Findlay, probably up to COSI where 10,000 other parents will be passing their time, as well. Maybe the zoo ... but don't tell anyone that.
Here's some pics that have been snapped in recent days ... Grammy, if you want any, email me and let me know. I will get them sent to your Walgreens (if that is what you want).

Grammy.... we have a bone to pick with you....
I was looking at Jenna's back yesterday and saw this nasty looking boo boo ... I think she got it when she was climbing McCayla's dresser when she should have been going to sleep ...
But when I asked Jenna how she got the boo boo, she said ....
Grammy bit me.

We have now graduated from blaming locusts and the non-existent family dog to actual people ... who live over 7 hours away.

Good days
McCayla has reported that she received a 91 on her subtraction timed test today ... her best score yet!!! She is so proud of herself.
And then she informed me that she has moved up a level in reading. She has finally returned to her love for reading, which makes me happy. Mrs. Graybill is a wonderful teacher to get her back into the swing of reading things.
Evan had a wonderful day back to school, bringing home a picture he had colored of Martin Luther King, Jr.
Miss Jenna had a good day in preschool .. the first time she has been back since Christmas break. Her teachers had forgotten what she looked like. I told them that she had to shake her ick before she could return.
So back to school for everyone ... and they had good days.

Someone has lost something...
Evan told us that his tooth was hurting him and normally I am the one who yanks them out. But since I am under the weather, I didn't want to stick my fingers in Evan's mouth, so Daddy got the magic paper towel and yanked a few times.
Evan cried more after he realized it was out as opposed to in reaction to the pain that wasn't even there.
He has grand ideas of what he is going to do with his Tooth Fairy loot.

The Harmonica Playing Shepherd
Evan and Jenna were playing with marbles ALL morning long, which gave me the opportunity to get some work done on the computer. At one point, I dressed Evan up in his shepherd garb, and then he picked up his harmonica.
So without further ado...

Transformations
Evan is SOOOOO loving school. He is so great to listen to when it comes to school-talk. He gets all excited, wanting it to be the next day so badly. And when he finds out that it is Saturday, he gets all bummed out and wishes the weekend away.
Jenna is growing right up. She is saying more and more every day. She seems to have a listening issue at preschool, prompting her teacher to ask me if she was seeing the dr. anytime soon because I "might need to get her hearing checked." Yeah... I don't think there is a cure for being three years old, unfortunately. But I will certainly mention it to Dr. Ware on Friday when she has her physical.
McCayla has moved from loving all things girly and dresses to wanting to wear jeans. I remember when I would have to fight to get her to wear a pair of pants, let alone a pair of jeans. Now it is the opposite: she and I had a rather lengthy discussion this morning about wearing a skirt and she said she had gym. She then came home and said "oh Mommy... I was all mixed up and we have gym TOMORROW (the day she promised to wear the skirt)."
Yeah, kid. I'm SURE it was a mixup.
